About the Engineering Track

Work in our hardware laboratory bridging physical sensors with cloud software. Interns develop micro-controller firmware on ESP32 and STM32 platforms, implement low-power sleep modes, parse sensor bus protocols (I2C, SPI, UART), and stream telemetry over MQTT.

Production Systems & Scope of Work

  • Firmware development in C/C++ using ESP-IDF and FreeRTOS
  • Interfacing industrial environmental sensors (temperature, vibration, pressure)
  • Implementing MQTT/TLS secure payload transmission over Wi-Fi and Cellular
  • Edge signal filtering and statistical processing before transmission
  • Building local diagnostic serial monitor tools in Python

Skills & Architectural Paradigms Mastered

Embedded C/C++ programming & RTOS task synchronization
Hardware debugging with logic analyzers and oscilloscopes
Low-power optimization techniques for battery-operated nodes
Industrial IoT protocols and cloud telemetry ingestion

Eligibility Requirements

  • Students of Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Mechatronics
  • Working knowledge of C/C++ and basic circuit fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi boards
